The French drains will then transport that water to a more suitable drainage area, reducing ground saturation in unwanted areas. 

Catch Basins

Catch basins are an essential part of Atlanta landscaping. A catch basin has a grate on top and a drainage pipe that slopes away from the basin. Catch basins can collect not only water, but also debris. First, water and debris will enter the basin through the visible grate in the ground.
